Do you think that these are the best solutions for your problem?

Why detoxing is essential to long term weight loss

By Toby Edge

You want to achieve lasting weight loss, don't you? You want to lose weight for good rather than losing for a time and then putting it back on again soon after, like so many people do.

No-one is realistically going to want to lose weight for a short period of time only. Its just likely. They aren't going to come out and say 'I really just want to lose weight for a few months and then put it all back on again, perhaps with some extra baggage!' No, if you have a weight problem, you're looking for a long term solution. Problem is, most people don't know what this solution is and are doing things wrong.

The majority of people think they're got it sussed. They think weight loss purely comes down to nutrition and that they're going to happen upon the perfect weight loss plan that they can stick with forever. Unlikely. And you know what, even if you did find the ideal weight loss plan that you stuck with for good, this might not even be enough.

No chance.

Nope, not gonna happen. I'm sorry to announce that only about 1 in 200 people end up losing weight and keeping it off for good from dieting alone. Not good odds for anyone and the chances are pretty high you're going to be one of the 199...no the 0.5 per cent minority!

What you may also not know is that detoxing is essential if you want to lose weight for good. Why? Well let me briefly tell you.

Toxins are everywhere. They are in our food, in the air, in our cleaning products, our beauty products...just all over the place really. When these toxins are ingested into the body they get stored in our fat cells. Now, these toxins are bad for the body (obvisouly) and our body helps protect against them using the insulation around our nervous system and organs. And what helps insulate our organs and nervous system? Fat.

We all need essential fat around our bodies to act as protection and, generally, the more toxic we become, the more important this protection is. So, if you diet and reduce the size of your fat cells you're actually making yourself more toxic.

How exactly?

Well, because the toxins are stored in our fat cells, so as they get smaller, and the toxins remain, you end up becoming more toxic. Not good, right?

The way that the body responds to this higher concentration of toxicity is to actually go into fat production mode to help protect the organs and nervous system. So you end up putting on the fat you have just lost as a defence mechanism against the toxins in your fat cells.

This is one of the main reasons why you may well have suffered from rebound weight gain before. Unless you reduce the toxicity in your fat cells, you're not going to be able to lose that fat and keep it off.

Detoxing, therefore, is certainly a crucial element of any long term weight loss program, especially if you're struggled in the past with rebound weight gain and yo-yo dieting.
